Player is my GO TO Paddle
"I have been whitewater paddling for 30 yrs, and I have had many paddles in that time. However, most have not seen a second date (bought again) until the Player. It checks all the boxes. Just enough flex to keep my elbows from hurting after long multi-day trips (wood paddles were the only paddles that solved that in the past), the R30 feather leaves plenty of articulation in the wrist for adjusting the power face to oncoming current, thin blade profile which makes slicing it through the water and making fast blade adjustments effortless, and the tapered bottom have of the blade reduces boat contact when making quick stroke changes in the middle of the gnar. This will be the 3rd Player purchase due to its superior power over the Sherpa (which I bought when I couldn't find another Player to buy between purchase 1 & 2). I paddle the James River in Richmond, VA which has jagged granite riverbed and wears the blades down over the years."
